Charles, or many know him as Chuck, has been an accounting professional since 1977. In 1994, he founded Charles K. Poor, CPA, PC, with the focus of the firm centered on assisting not-for-profit and small business clients. In 2018, Charles K. Poor, CPA, PC merged with The ALG Group, CPAs to bring a greater wealth of experience and specialized services to the Greater Lansing area and beyond.
Chuck continues to enjoy working with small business clients, not-for-profits, and providing guidance and insight on implementing new accounting policies and standards. Throughout his career, he has performed countless single-audits and not-for-profit audits, and his diverse experience brings valuable knowledge and advantage to our clients today.
Chuck graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s degree in economics and from Michigan State University with a Master’s degree in Public Administration. As a current member of the MICPA and the AICPA, Chuck continues to complete more than 40 hours of continuing professional education each year.
Outside of his dedication to helping small businesses and not-for-profits, Chuck enjoys spending quality time with his family and is looking forward to retiring soon.
